Damask vs Satin Woven Labels: Compare Identified Sample Constructions

When comparing damask vs satin woven labels, ask what each proposed sample actually represents. A weave name alone does not identify the fibre, artwork result, thickness, edge treatment or installed feel.

The first decision is whether both proposals are woven designs. A satin printed label is not automatically the same product as a satin woven label. Confirm the construction and available options for the intended order before comparing prices or promising a particular result.

Separate fibre, construction and decoration in the enquiry

Write three fields: the proposed fibre composition, the construction description and how the design is formed. If the supplier uses a trade name, request a plain-language explanation alongside it. Keep the physical sample identifier with the description so a different sample cannot silently replace it.

SeanLabel’s damask and satin comparison treats these as woven constructions. That terminology reference does not establish the composition, performance or availability of a CanKun order. Review those points against its own proposed specification.

Compare the same design at the same finished size

Provide the actual logo, smallest wording and critical color boundaries. Ask which proposed construction can reproduce those features at the requested size. If one sample uses a larger logo or omits the smallest line, it is not a controlled comparison of the same design.

Review letter openings, narrow spaces and the outline from a normal reading distance. Record any proposed simplification and obtain approval for the revised artwork. A sharp source file does not by itself prove that every detail will remain distinct in the woven sample.

Keep appearance and handling comparisons identifiable

Place the labeled samples beside the intended garment or accessory. Compare face appearance under the same lighting, then check the reverse, edges and planned fold. Record what was observed without turning a preference such as smoother or firmer into an unsupported durability claim.

Review a sample attached at the intended location. The garment fabric, fold, seam and exposed edge affect the result the wearer encounters. A loose swatch can help select a direction, but it does not replace the installed reference. Use the edge approval guide when the cut edge is exposed.

Use one comparison record for the quotation

For each option, record the sample code, fibre description, construction, finished size, artwork revision, colors, fold and supply format. List exclusions or unresolved points beside the quoted option. Ask whether the cost and sampling timetable apply to that exact version.

Approve only the identified construction and sample. If the supplier proposes a substitution, review it as a new option rather than assuming the same trade name guarantees an identical result. Keep color approval connected to the physical color reference. Washing or other performance requirements need their own agreed evidence.

CanKun Packaging quotes custom work from the buyer’s specification. MOQ starts at 100 pieces, subject to the specification and artwork versions. Samples are free; shipping and special requirements are confirmed separately. Sampling is usually about 3 days after artwork and specification review. Bulk production is usually 7–15 days after physical sample and specification approval; shipping is separate. Wu Jess responds within 24 hours.

REFERENCE SPECIFICATION · 参考规格

Reference specification for a new sample

These are proposed values for a NEW sample. They are not measurements of the photographs, a recovered order, a signed production sample or a test result.

Existing evidence and its limits

This is a buying comparison guide. It does not add a measured CanKun sample result, test, approval or new customer outcome.

Construction and dimensions

Reference option: 50D polyester fine Damask, non-metallic polyester colour yarns; visible face 60 × 20 mm, 7 mm end fold at each short side, flat cut size 74 × 20 mm. Colours and this construction are new design choices.

Artwork and attachment

Start with text 2.5 mm high and strokes 0.4 mm, with artwork 5 mm inside the visible edges. Trial stitch placement 2 mm inside each visible short edge. Confirm lettering, folds, edges and attachment on the physical garment sample.

Comparison boundary

The example above proposes Damask only. It does not identify the photographs as Damask, fill in an unmeasured satin construction, or establish equivalence between two substrates. Use the same artwork and finished size for an actual comparison.

Record the final drawing, artwork revision, component quantities, actual physical sample and approval before bulk production. Garment composition/care content, performance results and approver/date must come from the actual project.
