For wholesalers and retailers with several product lines, a label repeat order needs an identifiable approved version. The same logo can still appear on labels with different dimensions, folds, colours, care wording or retail data. Use a version register to keep those differences visible when requesting a quote.
Request a repeat-order or private-label quote. State the product types, quantities per version and which approved specifications you want to repeat or change. Compare custom printed hang tags, custom woven labels, custom care and wash labels and specify each item separately in your enquiry.
Build a register before requesting a repeat order
- Buyer SKU: the product identifier your warehouse uses.
- Label or tag item: woven brand label, care label or hang tag; keep separate items identifiable.
- Artwork version: filename, revision and approval date.
- Construction: finished dimensions, fold or attachment, material or stock and finish.
- Variable content: size, language, care wording, barcode or other data that differs between versions.
- Sample reference: the physical sample approved for the actual specification.
- Quantity and packing: units per version, bundle identification and any assembly requirement.
Separate repeat items from changes
Mark each requested item as unchanged, changed or awaiting confirmation. For an unchanged item, identify the approved artwork and sample. For a changed item, list the exact change: a new logo, label size, colour, fold, wording, paper stock, finish or attachment may need another review. Avoid using “same as last time” as the complete specification.
Copy this version register for each item
Buyer SKU: [identifier] Item type: [woven label / care label / hang tag] Order status: [unchanged / changed / awaiting confirmation] Approved artwork: [filename and revision] Physical sample reference: [identifier and approval date] Dimensions and construction: [specification] Variable content: [size / language / barcode / other] Requested changes: [exact list, or none] Quantity: [per version] Packing and bundle identification: [requirements] Target date: [sample / production / delivery] Open questions: [what still needs confirmation]
Private-label collections need separate content checks
Keep the retailer’s brand artwork separate from the shared product information. Identify who approves brand presentation, care wording and SKU data. Provide the final approved content for the destination market. A label sample checks the submitted specification; it does not replace the buyer’s review of market-specific product information.
Approve the reference before bulk production
- Compare the artwork and variable data with the version register.
- Review the physical label or tag for the intended attachment and product position.
- Confirm the quantity and packing instructions for each version.
- Record the final approved file and sample reference, then keep later changes visible in the order record.
This is a buyer preparation template, not a customer case study or a promise that every requested material or construction is available. Final specification, MOQ, cost, sampling, production and shipping are confirmed for the actual project.

Label and hang tag repeat orders: which changes need review?
For custom hang tags wholesale, custom woven labels wholesale and care label repeat orders, attach a change list to the previous approved reference. Separate an exact repeat from a changed specification. A new quantity alone is different from a new substrate, artwork or attachment; the buyer and supplier should agree the review needed for each change before production is released.
| Change | Update the reference | Review to agree |
|---|---|---|
| Quantity or destination only | Order line, version quantities, packing and delivery plan | Confirm the existing specification is unchanged and the schedule remains suitable |
| Logo, text, language or variable data | Content and artwork revision; applicable SKUs | Approve the revised proof; confirm whether a new physical sample is needed |
| Woven label size, fold or sewing position | Dimensioned placement drawing and artwork | Review readability and attachment on the revised physical sample |
| Care label material or layout | Substrate, approved content mapping, dimensions and sample reference | Review the new sample; agree any separate performance checks |
| Hang tag paper, finish, hole or string | Stock, print/finish files and assembly drawing | Review the revised physical and assembled reference |
| Mixed-version packing | Version identifiers, quantities and bundle instructions | Agree how the receiving team identifies and checks each version |
Record the change rather than overwriting the approved file
Order line / SKU: [identifier] Previous approved reference: [artwork / specification / sample] Exact change: [old value → new value, or unchanged] Affected versions: [identifiers / quantity for each] Required review: [content / proof / physical sample / agreed test] New approval: [reference / reviewer / date / conditions] Superseded reference: [retain for identification] Production release: [approved / pending decision] Packing and receiving check: [version identifiers / instructions]
At receipt, compare the version identifiers, quantities and agreed checks with the current approved reference. Record discrepancies against that order line so the supplier can review the specific issue. A previous approval is useful only when the incoming goods can be linked to the same controlled specification.
Use the hang tag printing approval guide, woven label size and fold record, or care label version template for the changed component. Then send the repeat-order register and change list for a quotation. This is a procurement process checklist; it does not represent an anonymous customer delivery result.
Size-label allocation and repeat-order check
Keep one row for each exact size text, artwork revision and colour. Record requested pieces, pack unit and approved sample reference, then add the size rows and compare the sum with the purchase-order total. For combined care-size labels, identify the full language-content-size combination; a total garment quantity alone cannot identify the label versions.
Demonstration only: S 100 + M 200 + L 150 + XL 50 = 500 pieces. These figures are an arithmetic example, not a customer order or a confirmed minimum per size. Agree reserve quantities separately and include them in the final reconciled total.
At packing, identify each size/version and verify its quantity against the packing list before dispatch. On a repeat order, retain the approved reference, record changes and review any revised mapping with the buyer. The selected construction and allocation require order-specific confirmation.
Compare custom size-label formats and order requirements. Per-artwork and mixed-order options can be reviewed; the starting MOQ does not by itself establish a minimum for every size or mixed artwork plan.
